Meet Cara

Cara Bender is a blossoming operatic soprano currently based in Boston. In recent months, Cara has enjoyed many successful performances in Boston, including multiple recitals sponsored by Beacon Hill Village and a return to her alma mater, The New England Conservatory of Music, to present a recital of songs by Samuel Barber and Henri Duparc. 

 

In 2021, Cara concluded her second summer as an Apprentice Artist with Des Moines Metro Opera, where she covered Masha in The Queen of Spades and was featured on multiple concerts, performing selections from Don Giovanni, Falstaff, Bluebeard's Castle, Così fan tutte, Die Walküre, and The Rape of Lucretia. 

Cara Bender obtained her Master's degree in Vocal Performance in the spring of 2020 at The New England Conservatory of Music. In NEC's 2019/2020 season, she performed the role of Soprano in Argento's Postcard from Morocco as well as Giunone in Cavalli's La Calisto. Passionate about art song, Cara gave three performances in the Liederabend concert series at The New England Conservatory, and performed on multiple recitals.
